FEES:

Individual consultation for psychological assessment and treatment: $250 per session. You will be eligible to receive an immediate rebate sent directly to your preferred account ($137.05 through Medicare).

With a Medicare referral your sessions will accrue an ‘out -of-pocket’ expense of $112.95 (the ‘gap amount’). You can receive a maximum of 10-sessions per calendar year under Medicare (6 with an initial referral and 4 with a review of your Plan). 

You don’t need a referral to see a Clinical Psychologist.

However, if you have private health cover you can alternatively use this to claim. Private Health fund rebates vary depending on your cover (ask your private health fund about items Y100/A070 Psychological Assessment, and Y200/A071/SCY5 Psychological Treatment). 

Please note: the current fee remains a substantial discount from the Australian Psychological Society’s recommended rate for Clinical Psychologists, currently set at $300 per 45-60 minute per session.

This is a Non-Bulk Billing Practice.

Payment is required in full on the day of service via Eftpos, cash or personal cheque. Medicare and private health rebates can be claimed on-the-spot.
